Superannuation is a significant part of our practice. We see super as a key part of any financial plan, but it is a structure within your overall asset base, not the whole of it. Our role is to make sure the structure is compliant, tax-effective, and working in line with your expectations, while we remain independent of where your funds are invested.
- Self-managed superannuation funds (SMSF): establishment support, administration, annual accounts, and tax compliance
- Arranging and managing the independent annual audit of your SMSF
- The tax and compliance side of contributions and pensions, including account-based pensions
- Advice on the tax, liquidity, and record-keeping consequences of decisions you make within your fund
Where financial product advice is required, we work alongside appropriately licensed financial advisers.
Independence rules mean an audit should not be performed by the firm that prepares your accounts, so audits are performed by trusted external auditors: SMSF annual audits, and engagements required by statute, shareholders, banks, and other stakeholders. We arrange the audit, prepare the file, and manage the process with you from start to finish.
Our approach is value-driven: beyond meeting the requirement, an audit should tell you something useful about your own business, from the efficiency of your operation to ways to strengthen internal controls.
Beyond compliance, we act as a sounding board and adviser across the life of your business, from feasibility and setup through growth and acquisition to sale or restructure.
